- Air leakage issues related to manufacturing defects.
Warranty Exclusions
The following situations are not covered by this warranty:
- Instalment risks that related to improper fitting onto vehicles.
- Appearance issues affecting non-visible areas such as windows, stud holes, or internal wheel sections.
- Surface damage resulting from improper tyre installation practices.
- Finish deterioration (Oxidation) resulting from failure to follow recommended cleaning procedures.
- Wheel damage from severe impacts, accidents, or extreme driving conditions.
- Damage occurring during shipping or handling before reaching the customer, signed delivery document without notifying foreseeable packaging damage to delivery driver.
- Any modifications or repairs performed without prior KOYA authorisation.

- Use with inappropriate tyre specifications or for carrying loads beyond design capacity.
- Use inconsistent with intended purpose (e.g., using passenger-rated wheels for off-road driving).
- Complementary accessories provided with wheel purchase (including wheel nuts/bolts, etc.).
- Performance track usage: This warranty explicitly excludes coverage for any damage or defects resulting from track use, including but not limited to wear patterns, stress-related damage, or failures associated with high-performance driving conditions.
Use of aluminum wheel nuts or wheel bolts: Any wheel installed with aluminum wheel nuts or bolts will immediately void the warranty. Aluminum fasteners present multiple safety risks due to their material properties. These include:
Thermal expansion and contraction differences compared to steel, which may cause loosening under heat cycles.
Lower tensile and fatigue strength, leading to potential cracking or fracture under torque or load.
Thread wear and stripping due to the softness of aluminum, reducing long-term fastening reliability.
Risk of galvanic corrosion when in contact with steel components in humid or salty environments.
Potential plastic deformation or galling, which may result in bolts seizing or improper removal.
Finish Protection Details
KOYA stands behind the quality of our wheel finishes against manufacturing defects that cause peeling or separation from the wheel face for a period of one year from original purchase date. Under this protection, KOYA will repair or replace affected wheels at no charge when finish failure occurs due to manufacturing defects within the warranty period.
Customer responsibilities:
- Inspect all wheels upon delivery before installation
- Any damage occurring during normal use or installation is not eligible for warranty coverage
- The finish warranty specifically excludes:
- Surface scratches from everyday use
- Damage from road debris or stone impacts
- Damage from wheel impact with curbs or road obstacles
- Damage from off-road usage
- Damage from improper cleaning methods or harsh chemical cleaners
- Damage from tire mounting/dismounting equipment
- Discoloration from high-performance brake compounds
Surface imperfections in certain areas, such as the center cap mounting zone, are common during tire installation when handled incorrectly. Such damage is not covered once tires have been mounted. We strongly recommend thorough inspection prior to installation. For maximum finish protection, wheels should be regularly cleaned using water is recommended.
Natural oxidation may occur on unfinished wheel surfaces including mounting surfaces, center bore areas, and bead contact zones, resulting in a matte appearance with normal use. During manufacturing, protective masking may be applied to certain areas. When this masking is removed after finishing processes, slight transition lines may be visible between finished and unfinished areas. This is considered normal manufacturing variation. Warranty claims for such transitions will only be considered if located in highly visible areas not covered by the tyre when mounted.
Manufacturing marks, identification codes, or production stamps may remain visible on final products, particularly in hidden areas like the inner barrel or reverse side of the lip. These marks serve production tracking purposes and are normal. Minor finish imperfections including small paint bubbles, dust particles, or embedded fibers may be present in the finish. Imperfections comparable to a ballpoint pen tip in size are considered within normal production variation. Dust or fiber inclusions in areas not readily visible when mounted are considered acceptable if they do not compromise wheel function. Paint imperfections larger than a ballpoint pen tip or visible fibers exceeding 2mm may qualify for warranty consideration only if located on prominently visible surfaces such as the front face or spoke sides when mounted on a vehicle.
